A Forgotten Issue from last posting Vote NO on 3C

P.S.  I was surprised at the number of comments from last night’s post and the number of comments that I left out one of the main issue with 3C that is the statement that the mill levy is for education.  Until the draft of the override issue was completed by the district’s lawyers the word education had never showed up or was spoken concerning the mill levy.  The lawyers add education, not our board.  From day one the board stated that the money was needed for sport projects, The board discussed a list of projects at a number of meetings, non had anything to do with educational projects.  If one listened to some of the meeting recordings you would not hear the use of the word; education.  The major reason one of the members voted against the effort was that she believed that efforts should be applied toward education until we have improved.  As we listen to the recording of the so call Community Meeting there was not a single educational topic.  Even the County pamphlet, which I hope someone proof read, points out one single example of what the tax can be used for “retrofit and replace athletic and ancillary facilities”.  What the wording shows to me is like Amend 68 the use of the word education is a buzz word, one that hopefully will change some minds.  If the tax was to be used for quote, “education projects” wouldn’t you talk or write about them.  I believe most of my readers and those that have discussed the ballot issue with me have said they would reconsider their position if it was really for education.  But now they do not trust this board.  Folks 3C is a ballot issue, register voters will decide, there will be three voters, yes, no , or those that want vote.  3C is important so inform yourself and vote and hold our school board accountable for their words and actions.

Remember there is a board meeting Oct 9 and the monthly meeting on the 14th
