Embattled Colorado Democrats flee from Obama

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. – President Barack Obama is in town this week for an exclusive high dollar fundraiser for U.S. Sen. Mark Udall and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and to give a speech on the economy in Denver that is open to the press.     While Udall is thrilled to raise money with Obama in a closed door fundraiser, both he and embattled Gov. John Hickenlooper refuse to be seen with the president in public. Colorado Republican Committee Chairman Ryan Call released the following statement regarding their hiding: “It’s hardly surprising that Gov. Hickenlooper and Sen. Udall are doing everything they can to run away from the worst president since World War II.  “Every day, hardworking families, senior citizens and small business owners are having to deal with the result of President Obama, Mark Udall and John Hickenlooper’s radical and reckless policies.  They have lost their doctors, the price of health care has gone up and household income remains low.  They have broken promise after promise, and too many Coloradans feel things just aren’t going to get better. No amount of running or hiding changes these facts, but electing a new senator and a new governor will.”
