Former Colorado Senator Dave Schultheis declares his endorsement in the race for El Paso County Sheriff!

I am pleased to endorse Bill Elder for El Paso County Sheriff.

It is apparent to me that Bill is a strong conservative who has years of law enforcement experience from which to draw. I applaud Bill for his commitment to transparency and to creating a baseline of understanding in calling for a forensic audit of the Sheriff’s office.

Sheriffs have significant authority to protect citizens’ God-given rights when it comes to fending off intervention by the Federal government in areas not covered by the U.S. Constitution. I am confident that Bill Elder understands the importance of this role.

Finally, his commitment to continuing the Concealed Carry Program, as well as his desire to see Constitutional Carry implemented is important to the Citizens of El Paso County.
