After a brief rain storm and I do mean brief, the parking area of the old Drennan School began to fill up, everyone unloading ice cream, cakes, and cookies. Hugs and hellos to individuals that hasn’t seen each other for a while. Tours and stories of the old school, even a couple of young boys trying is get a story started that the school was haunted. Inside there was such a choice of treats; at least 12 different favors of ice cream and another table of pastries. Good-o-boy/ladies sharing homemade ice cream, talking and meeting newcomers; what a way to spend a Sat afternoon. My guess is that there were somewhere around fifty. Some third generation families discussing past events and upcoming ones. I believe everyone truly enjoyed themselves and began planning the Drennan Reunion in Aug and the chili supper/white elephant auction in Oct. There will be picture coming as soon as I get captions completed.
