What better than Potluck Stew?

In Response to Mrs Clemons post on TOTSB  Bold is from Mrs Clemons

“It is certainly better than the Potluck by leaps and bounds.”  How could you compare EPC with the junk Ear post!  I have voiced concern about individuals writing stuff that slanders individuals but Ear accuse individuals with crimes.  I don’t agree with you on most issues but I or others use facts.  I’m researching and have asked a friend if Ear’s can be held accountable since she is paying reporters.  So far it appears that she has placed herself as a publisher and is responsible for what she prints, even if it comes from someone else.

“the rights of kids, the “rural” lifestyle and how people say one thing but do another.  Fayne actually tries to take exception to me approving posts, when he knows perfectly well he has been extremely critical of others and with not an ounce of the truth.”  Come on Mrs Clemons, again I ask for examples, I make it a point to base my positions and words on the fact as I and others see them. MC cut and paste a few, if they are any. Yes, I’m critical when I feel thing or people are wrong; but it all dealing with the schools or the School Board.

“But this whole thing isn’t about the truth anymore, it’s about emotions and personalities and hurt feelings.”  It is about two things: the kids of Ellicott’s future and the truth.  Yes, the Kids and the truth.  There are some that have hurt feelings and I can’t see that changing anytime soon.  Individuals can’t continue to call individuals criminals and expect them to just forget.  It takes two to change the direction we are traveling.  One to apologize and the other to forgive.

The recall isn’t about what is best for the kids, it’s an emotional response to a successful recall.  Here is an example of your opinion not facts, could be call a non-truth.  You, MC’s believe it is an emotional response, everyone that is a part of the Citizen’s Group believes strongly that they have the best interest of the Kids at the top of the list.  It is an emotional effort, for us to do what we feel is the best so why is our emotion wrong and yours not?  I haven’t heard the citizens reference the recall, just who won.

I would like to write about how claims are made that people out here “stick together.  Again your opinion, people welcomed me when I moved here, whoops I’m wrong, you did not, did you, 1/4 mile down the road.  It was my wife that spoke first to you and your daughter.  Just checking, no one in Savanna Acres,  just around the corner from you,  remembers you welcoming them.  So…………….!?  As I wrote in my blog it takes two to form a conversation.

I’ve been wanting to write a post about how I understand the temptation to “give a friend a job.” My husband would rock that position.  So, if a person would be the best applicant he/she should move on because a family member works for the district, why?  Living in a small community, results in some working for the same organization.  Besides why would you be hiring anyone, you are a member of the school board,  not the District’s admin.  See this is where I disagree with you and Hudson, not your business.  You should not be hiring anyway.  But the best solution is you resign, then the “best” person can get the job.

“Although, I do understand a bit why someone (multiple people??) are keeping it anonymous” . If you want to be taken seriously you must stand up for what is important to you and your name is a must.  You can’t be taking the Ear, serious, she is just writing garbage about people.  It is so disturbing that some believe her stuff.  Like what she said about GL’s email to you, not even close.  I’ll be printing it so others can see.  Just how many times must a person be discredited before folks see the hatred in that person.  Just telling lies for her entertainment, how sad.  Guess the goats aren’t working.  So the game continues, the detectives are on the search, FOR THE EAR.  I don’t understand why you would comment about the email or why you would not understand why GL would say thanks but no thanks.  Go back and read what you have written or agreed with, about him.  I would have a hard time having a beer with you and you have not been half as angry with me.

Could I be the Next Superintendent?

Summer is nearly here, even tho the heat is already here.  Citizens, I’m thinking of applying for the position of Superintendent for District 22, do I have your support?  My understanding is that there are at least two that has already applied.  There has been no ad but two APPS wonder when/how they found out?  I would like to review the requirements, but all I can see is what MC called “My TOP 10”, doesn’t it make you feel like you are watching the Tonight Show.  Another concern, I understand that Dr Roman, the individual that the District School Board paid 9K recommendation may/or was over ruled, another professional that the District has paid and some on the board feel they know more or better.

I have been asked by many if I have read the lasted Ranchland, 5/10,letter to the editor (Mr Hudson).  My answer is no, my mode is too good to be ruined.  I’m planting my garden and trimming my grapes.  I love working on my garden, orchids and vineyard it makes all the ?”%$# go away for a while, just  nature and no falsehoods, just green leaves.  I do have some big decisions to make, to plant 2 or 3 peppers, whether to re-sod some of my back yard and whether to move my orchids from the basement to the green house.  So many decisions in life.  Back to the superintendent position it is the most important one.  I have a resume drafted; but don’t want the School Board or the Ear, to see it until I spell check it.  Have you read the new Blog, Ellicott Ear?  I have read some paragraphs that others have emailed me.  The one about me breaking my ankle.  She must raise goats.  I have nothing against goats, I raised sheep as a 4H project, but the community will understand.  But with goats you can’t turn your back or bend over and they will eat everything, so be careful if you read “THE EAR”.  So here is my quick response to MC Top Ten, it is just my opinion.

(taken from TOTSB) My Top Ten:  (Mrs Clemons’ Top Ten)

1. Willing to be visible—-I can be very visible, just tell me where I need to be
2. Committed to the district—–I will sign a commitment statement
3. Someone who wants a challenge—-Always looking of a challenge, have faced many
4. Someone who is strong on discipline and enforces it—-Retired Military
5. Someone who will be an advocate for the students, staff and schools—-the kids are the reason, and I will support those that deserve it
6. Someone who is a strong leader; good communicator—-Retired Military, and Married
7. Able to establish a positive school/district culture; build trust and respect throughout—-I will try, will do my part, my word is me, can’t make people respect
8. Someone who holds everyone accountable and holds himself/herself accountable as well—-do your job or walk on, give me feedback
9. Someone who has strong organizational skills to manage many tasks at once—-Commanded some of the AF’s largest units, managed people and money
10. Someone who knows Colorado school law, finance and budgeting—-the first thing I fall short on but I can read and learn or call our lawyers, and have done both and again the school has a finance manager

To Mrs Clemons, I understand you are taking the apps , how does one apply?  I feel that a retired military person, who has had a successful career meets 9.6 out of you top 10.  The tenth one, Colorado school laws can be learned or a law firm can assist.  I’m a member of Troops to Teachers and since there appears to be no educational requirements or any special certifications or education, just leadership skills if I don’t fill the requirements, I know a number of retired MILITARY that might be interested.  When will the position be placed on the WEB?  When possible could someone on the Board release the hiring process.  Thanks
